Private Lessons
Individual lessons give students personalized guidance from experienced instructors. This format builds strong foundations and allows each learner to progress at their own pace.
Here’s what we offer:
In Wilmington, learn strings, winds, brass, percussion, piano, organ, harpsichord, guitar & related instruments, Celtic harp, voice, musicianship, and composition. In Milford, learn strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, guitar/related instruments, and voice. Senior Special Lessons (60+) offer a flexible 20-lesson option at reduced tuition.
Early Childhood
The early childhood program uses singing, clapping, movement, and simple instruments to help children develop rhythm and melody in a joy-filled environment. These classes build a strong foundation for future learning.

Suzuki Academy students learn music the same way people learn language, through listening and imitating. At the heart of the Suzuki method is the partnership between teacher, parent, and student, creating a circle of support that helps children grow both musically and personally. Our programs include:

Our musicianship courses teach music theory, music history, ear training, and aural skills. These skills strengthen performance and help students become well-rounded musicians. Tuition is FREE for Music School students enrolled in private lessons during the academic year!

Summer Camps
Summer camps, classes, and workshops provide immersive, hands-on experiences that keep students engaged outside the school year. Programs combine focused learning with the fun of making music together.
Camps vary by age and focus and include instrument exploration, small and large ensembles, chamber music, and themed workshops. Schedules and registration open each spring.

How do I sign up for private lessons?
Registration is required before lessons begin. Students register online, then the Student Services Department will contact you to work with your schedule and match the student with the right teacher. If a student wishes to preview an instructor’s teaching style, they may request a sample lesson. Sample lesson fees are due prior to the lesson.
Do you offer virtual lessons?
Yes. Virtual lessons are available and treated the same as in-person lessons for attendance and make-ups. Families must provide their own internet-ready setup. Virtual lessons are not offered by all teachers.
What types of ensembles can students join?
We offer orchestras, choirs, chamber groups, and small ensembles for different ages and skill levels.
Do ensembles require auditions?
Some advanced groups require auditions, but most beginner and intermediate ensembles do not.
