Requires Suzuki Book 3+ or the director’s discretion | Designed for the experienced orchestral player who is fluent with metronome markings, writing markings in music independently, and fluent time and key signature reading. This group also aims to prepare string players for acceptance in the Delaware Youth Symphony Orchestra by focusing on advanced ensemble and reading skills. Multiple hand positions are required (3rd, 4th+ position). Enrollment is for the entire academic year (32 weeks). Included in Suzuki Academy tuition. Suzuki Academy students should contact the school for placement instead of registering below. Non-Suzuki students – please contact the school at (302) 762-1132 to arrange a placement audition prior to registering below. You will need to submit an audition video that includes a scale (3 octaves) and your most advanced piece. Regular attendance is mandatory.
