8 to 12 years* | No experience required; prior or concurrent private percussion study is encouraged. Join percussion instructor Dr. Scotty Horey for a dynamic, social drumming experience! Students will explore rhythms and grooves from classical, jazz, Latin, world, and pop/rock traditions through ensemble playing on drums and percussion. Emphasis is placed on group listening, song forms, and drum circle–style activities that build improvisation, creativity, call-and-response skills, and teamwork. *Younger and older students considered on an exceptional basis.
