Biography

Teaches in Milford Music Therapy, Board Certified, MT-BC and Piano Instruction | B.M., music education, Delaware State University, concentration – clarinet, additional piano studies; B.M. Equivalency, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania; M.M.T., music therapy, counseling concentration, Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. M.M.T. Thesis: The effect of a short-term music therapy program on early childhood emotional regulation following COVID-19. Instruments played for music therapy: clarinet, piano, guitar, ukulele, voice. Music therapy experience: early childhood, neurodivergent children and adults, intellectually/developmentally disabled children and adults, traumatic brain injury, outpatient mental health, children with trauma, adaptive music lessons, older adults and memory care.

Director: Dover Jazz Lab Ensemble, Delaware All-State Junior Jazz Band (guest). Performance experience: Giant Steps cover band; five local jazz ensembles, sax quartet, concert and wind ensembles, musical theater productions, saxophone ensemble with rhythm section. Performance experience: Serafin String Quartet (current); touring recitalist in the United States, China and South America; New Music Delaware; Baltimore and Delaware Symphony Orchestras; Eastern and Tulsa Philharmonic Orchestras; Oklahoma City Philharmonic (Associate Principal).
