Musicianship for Adults II (Wilmington)

18 years and up | Must have completed Musicianship for Adults I, or previous music theory with consent of instructor. After a brief review of fundamentals, the course focuses on diatonic harmony, principles of voice leading, harmonic progression, and form, with an emphasis on analysis and part-writing. Students develop aural skills with sight singing and melodic/harmonic dictation exercises. Materials: Kostka, Payne, and Almén ‘Tonal Harmony’, 7th edition.
